The Lisa V. story

A LIFE DEFINED BY PLANTS.

From childhood flower harvesting to the laboratories of Grasse, Lisa's journey has always been rooted in plants, nature, and the belief that what we put on our skin matters.

The founder

MEET LISA

Lisa's relationship with plants began when she was just four years old, harvesting flowers alongside her French great-grandfather in Northern Michigan.

That early connection became a lifelong pursuit. Lisa studied formulation at the prestigious Grasse Institute in France, achieving the highest score in her class across all formulation disciplines.

Her fascination with plants grew into years of studying, sourcing, formulating, and working with natural ingredients. Today, that belief is at the heart of everything she creates.

Her philosophy

“If you can't eat it, why would you put it on your skin? It's your body's largest organ.”

Lisa believes skincare should begin with the quality and integrity of its ingredients. That philosophy guides every decision, from where ingredients are sourced to how botanicals are harvested, extracted, and prepared.

A living tradition

600 YEARS OF FARMING.
ONE GENERATION AT A TIME.

Several times a year, Lisa travels to France to source raw ingredients directly from small, organic farms with histories stretching back more than 600 years.

These are not anonymous commodity ingredients. Lisa seeks out the people, land, growing practices, and traditions behind what goes into each formula. For her, sourcing is part of formulation.

The harvest

HARVESTED BY HAND.
AT ITS PEAK.

For certain botanicals, Lisa personally harvests the plants herself, selecting them at the moment when their natural aromatic and volatile compounds are at their peak.

It is one of the least profitable ways to source ingredients. It is also one of the most intentional. We choose this approach because we believe the difference is in the details.

The method

EXTRACT MORE.
WASTE LESS OF WHAT NATURE OFFERS.

Lisa uses carefully developed double and triple extraction techniques for selected botanicals, allowing different components of the plant to be drawn out through multiple stages of extraction.

This is an unusually labor-intensive approach for commercial skincare, but it reflects our philosophy: when an exceptional plant is in your hands, make the most of it.
